About the Program

Remember. Honor. Teach.

Wreaths Across America is a group that honors veterans and is committed to teaching all generations about the value of their freedoms, and the importance of honoring those who sacrificed so much to protect those freedoms.

The wreath-laying that began more than 30 years ago is still held annually, on the second or third Saturday of December. Every year the convoy of trucks, local law enforcement, staff and supporters stop at schools, monuments, veterans’ homes and communities along the way to talk about the Wreaths Across America mission — and remind people how important it is to remember, honor and teach.

Local Participation

Wreaths in Petaluma

We’ve been able to do The Wreaths here in Petaluma for the last three years and each year we grow more and more — with many people coming out to help us.

One of these groups is the Petaluma Sea Scouts — a group of young people that do many good things in our community and also learn to be good citizens. Their involvement makes this event truly special.
